Arabella’s Birth Story at Babies in Bloom Birth Center

It still seems like a dream that I was able to photograph Arabella’s birth. For me, everything about this birth happened so quickly. Kayla, the mother, contacted me Wednesday evening asking if I could photograph her daughter’s birth. Then Friday morning, I got the text saying she was in labor! After a few hours, I got the call from her doula, Chirstine, saying they were on their way to the birth center at Babies in Bloom and that the labor had quickly picked up. When I arrived at the birth center, I was so surprised to find out that I actually beat them, only to find out later that Kayla almost gave birth on the way over! Minutes after I got there, Kayla arrived and gave birth steps inside her room. She did an amazing job! Arabella was born at 11:19 AM October 24^th. Kayla finally got to relax with her baby girl and enjoy her beautiful room.

Kayla was surrounded by love with friends, family and her amazing birth team!

And Baby Makes Six Maternity Shoot

I can not believe I live so close to Guajome Park and have never been to it! I was so excited during this maternity session not only because of the gorgeous location but also because of this beautiful family, and it didn’t hurt that the kids loved getting their picture taken. I can’t wait to meet Angela and Jeff’s baby girl who should be making her debut mid December!

Family on the Run

You’ll quickly see that this family loves to have fun! They love to laugh, joke around, and play games with each other. Right before sunset I went out with Russell, Leigha and their kids Kevyn and Jensen, to capture some of their family fun. It always amazes me how much energy kids have! I have to admit, I’m kinda jealous! They were having such a blast and they sure kept me on my toes! I can’t wait till our next photo shoot with just the parents! It’ll be a fun little date for them!

Father Daughter Family Session

Welcome to my first post! This past weekend, I got to take family pictures for my brother. It’s the first family shoot that Rem and Caelan have done and they were awesome in front of the camera!

They picked De Anza Cove in San Diego for their photo session because they love kayaking and playing there and of course it’s gorgeous! It was also a lot cooler being next to the water, October in San Diego still feels like summer!
